Installation Instructions

  1. Locate rough-in positions and ensure that the wall structure has sufficient strength to support the fixture and the loads the fixture may experience.
  2. When fixtures are secured to hollow stud walls, adequate framing should be installed in wall where the fixture can be attached to framing.
  3. Fixture must be installed level and plumb to function properly.
  4. When mounting on chair carrier, determine if it is a 3 bolt or 4 bolt carrier. Metcraft 4610/4615 models are designed for 3 bolt carriers. Metcraft 4660/4665 models are designed for 4 bolt carriers.
  5. Rough-in all plumbing connections required by fixture. Refer to the submittal drawing for all required holes and wall openings. Contact Metcraft directly for additional rough-in information.
  6. Front mounted fixtures have a gasket flange for both wall outlet waste and floor outlet waste connections.  The gasket flange on the fixture will match up to a standard closet flange mounted on the wall or floor. The gasket flange on the fixture is recessed 5/8” for space to place a wax or neoprene gasket. Gaskets are not supplied by Metcraft.
  7. An 1-1/2 MIP galvanized or copper flush valve connector may be required on back supply connections. Confirm wall thickness to determine length of flush valve connector.
  8. Unit is now ready for final positioning.

  2. Plumbing connections can be connected.
  3. Upon complete installation, when fixture is secure, plumbing connections are not leaking, and fixture functions properly, secure access panels, if applicable, with tamper resistant screws provided by Metcraft.
  4. Security caulk may be used to fill any gaps between fixture and wall.
  5. A parts catalog and installation instructions are supplied with each fixture for reference.
  6. Trouble shooting information and videos are on the website Metcraft.com.
